Jose Galvez was the personal painter of my family in San Juan (Alicante), Spain. He made many paintings for us, including one of myself when I was about 14 years old (about 70 years ago), together with my dog. He miraculously survived the Spanish civil war and was especially great with landscapes. He was an affectionate person, never made any money with his art, he was single and very compassionate. His many paintings of my parents, myself and our summer house still hang on our walls. We will never forget him. Pedro Cortes, Michigan
